In the morning caught up on photos, etc, and just chilled. We had to check out at 12:00.
Lunch was down by the riverside (good words for s song!!) at our now favourite spot. After lunch Carolyn and I went for a Laos massage. Wouldn't put it in the relaxation category but it did iron out a few kinks here and there around the shoulders and hips.
We were taken to the airport at around 4:00, got through customs and immigration all OK. Our plane, not very full, then departed a half hour early!! Can you believe that??
On arrival in Vietnam, everything was going smoothly. VISA was accepted, bags arrived and the group started to congregate outside customs. Except for a few. Where were they?? They somehow used the wrong website to get their VISAs and the VISAs were not valid. So they had to stand in line to get the real one. Our half hour early turned into 2 hours late.
Anyway we were on our way, eventually. However due to the streets being closed for the night markets, we needed to walk to our hotel, pulling the luggage. We got there. Then there was an issue with the rooms! Got round that eventually too. So here I am updating the blog in Hanoi!
